KENTWOOD HOME GUARDIANS – REVISED PRE-BALLOT NOTICE 2024

The Pre-Ballot Notice below is being provided pursuant to Civil Code 5115(b). Due to unforeseen circumstances, our election was previously postponed. The Annual Members Meeting & Election of Directors will be held:

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 6323 W 80th Street, Westchester, CA 90045

The Board of Directors has contracted with an independent vendor, The Ballot Box, to serve as the Inspector of Election for the purpose of preparation, receipt, and tabulation of the ballots for this meeting. Each home is permitted one (1) ballot. Ballots will be mailed to the membership at least 30 days prior to the meeting and election date.

Returned ballots must be received in the envelopes provided by the inspector by mail (address on the envelope is directly to The Ballot Box), OR hand delivery to the Association office at 8921 S. Sepulveda Blvd, #118, Los Angeles, CA 90045, or by certified delivery such as UPS or Fed-Ex to The Ballot Box, 3315 E. Russell Rd., Ste A4 PMB 156, Las Vegas, NV 89120. If you would like a receipt for your returned ballot you are encouraged to mail the ballot with tracking through the post office, or other certified delivery service (UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL, etc.). You may also request a confirmation of receipt of your mailed ballot via email to info@ballotboxservices.com.

Deadlines for ballot submission are as follows:

• By USPS Mail or Certified Delivery (UPS/Fed-Ex): 12:00 PM (noon) on October 24, 2024
• Hand-Delivered to the Association office: 7:00 pm on October 25, 2024
• Ballots will not be accepted at the meeting on October 26, 2024

If you wish to review and verify your own information on the Candidate Registration List or Voter List, please email elections@kentwoodhomeguardians.com. Corrections to your information must be reported no later than September 18, 2024, by emailing elections@kentwoodhomeguardians.com.

The following is required text per Civil Code, although it will not apply to this election as our quorum requirement is already below the 20% reduced amount. The Board of Directors may call a subsequent meeting at least 20 days after the scheduled election if the required quorum is not reached, at which time the quorum of the membership to elect directors will be 20 percent (20%) of the Association’s members voting in person, by proxy, or by secret ballot.
