Minutes From the 2/19/2014 KHG LMU Community Forum
NCWP
NCWP stands for Neighborhood Council of Westchester/Playa. Neighborhood Councils are sponsored by the City of Los Angeles and operate with funds from the City. Council members are elected by neighborhood stakeholders (anybody who lives, works or owns property within the neighborhood).
NCWP includes Westchester, Playa del Rey, Playa Vista and LAX. More information on NCWP can be found on its website.
WSIA
WSIA stands for Westchester Streetscape Improvement Association. From WSIA’s website:
“It is the mission of the Westchester Streetscape Improvement Association to work cooperatively and interactively with the community, elected officials and state, federal and local agencies to enhance, beautify and improve local streetscapes, resulting in a better environment for both the commercial and the residential areas of Westchester.”
WHOLE
WHOLE (Westchester Homeowners Observing LMU Expansion) addresses issues relating to LMU policies which directly affect neighborhood homeowners.
Nuisances caused by student rental housing, traffic and parking issues, and LMU development require the attention and cooperation of the LMU administration. WHOLE is a neighborhood organization coordinated by Linda Kokelaar which seeks to present a unified voice for our neighborhood.
WHOLE has also developed guidelines to assist homeowners (both neighbors and landlords) with problems relating to off-campus student behavior. For further information, please contact the KHG Office (310-670-5111).
